Marimba Camp in Japan

This summer consider spending some time in Japan to focus on your marimba playing. Nanae Mimura is again hosting her annual 4-day intensive marimba camp. Located in the Yatsugatake Mountains, the idyllic Japanese town of Kobuchizawa in the Yamanashi region is only 160 km northwest from Tokyo.

The camp is designed for intermediate and advanced marimba players. Students will participate in masterclasses and group lessons with Nanae and this year's guest artist, Nancy Zeltsman (USA), with the option of private lessons. Students are encouraged to bring their own repertoire and group lessons will be designed around students' interests. The event culminates in a student and faculty performance.
